Rishabh Pant scores brisk fifty for India A against South Africa A
Rishabh Pant scored a brisk fifty from 65 deliveries for India A during its fourth innings chase of 275 against South Africa A at the BCCI Centre of Excellence Ground in Bengaluru on Saturday.
Walking in with his side in a precarious position at 32/3, Pant combined with Rajat Patidar to put on a half-century stand and revive India A’s hopes of hauling down its target to take a 1-0 series lead. He was dropped on 47, and subsequently reached the half-century mark with a boundary against Prenelan Subrayen.
The match is Pant’s first full appearance since his injury in the Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy. India will be hopeful that Pant can make a return to the senior side in its upcoming Test series against South Africa.
