Rinku Singh scored a 56-ball century for Uttar Pradesh against Chandigarh in the Vijay Hazare Trophy in Rajkot on Friday.
Batting at no.5, the Uttar Pradesh captain’s innings featured 10 fours and four sixes as he helped his side score 367/4 in 50 overs.
After Aryan Juyal (118-ball 134) and Dhruv Jurel (57-ball 67) stitched a measured 96-run partnership for the second wicket following Abhishek Goswami’s early dismissal, Juyal then consolidated the Uttar Pradesh with a 71-run stand for the third wicket with Sameer Rizvi.
However, Rinku’s arrival after Rizvi’s dimissal changed the face of the innings as he stitched to key partnerships with Juyal (134 off 77 balls) and Prashant Veer (63 off 35 balls) to propel Uttar Pradesh to a solid 367-run total.
