Most sixes in Tests by Indians: Ravindra Jadeja overtakes MS Dhoni to rise to fourth in list
Indian all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja overtook former captain MS Dhoni to become the fourth-highest six hitter for the country in Test cricket.
Jadeja achieved the feat during the second day of the first Test against West Indies in Ahmedabad. The 36-year-old smashed four sixes against the visiting side on Sunday to lift his Test six tally past Dhoni’s 78.
Only Virender Sehwag (91), Rishabh Pant (90)and Rohit Sharma (88) have scored more sixes in Test cricket than Jadeja among Indian batters.
The overall record for most sixes in Tests is held by current England captain Ben Stokes, who has hit a whopping 136 maximums in 179 innings. He is followed by Brendon McCullum (107 sixes in 176 innings) and Adam Gilchrist (100 sixes in 137 innings).
