Most 50+ scores in ODI chase: Virat Kohli breaks Sachin Tendulkar’s record
Indian batter Virat Kohli scored his 75th One-Day International fifty during his side’s third ODI against Australia in Sydney on Saturday.
With this, Kohli broke the record for most 50+ scores in the second innings in ODIs, previously held by his compatriot Sachin Tendulkar (69). Kohli is already the record-holder for most 100s in ODI chases, with 28 tons.
Walking in at No.3 in the Indian chase, Kohli started off by breaking his two-game duck streak and celebrated the moment with a fist pump.
The 36-year-old got to his fifty with a single against Aussie left-arm spinner Cooper Connolly.
