MI vs DC, WPL 2026: Harmanpreet, Sciver-Brunt half-centuries, disciplined bowling help Mumbai Indians thrash Delhi Capitals
Mumbai Indians quickly moved on from the opening day defeat to Royal Challengers Bengaluru as the defending champion thrashed Delhi Capitals by 50 runs in a WPL 2026 fixture on Saturday at the DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai.
Skipper Harmanpreet Kaur (74*) and Nat Sciver-Brunt (70) notched up half-centuries to help MI post 195/4 before Nicola Carey and Amelia Kerr’s three-wicket hauls, and Shabnim Ismail’s miserly spell (1/14), helped it restrict DC to just 145.
Chinelle Henry was the Capitals’ lone warrior till the 18th over as the big-hitter’s 33-ball 56 was the side’s highest individual score on the note.
