Jemimah Rodrigues’ stunning unbeaten 127 powered India to the final of the ongoing Women’s ODI World Cup 2025, as the Women in Blue stunned the mighty Aussies by pulling off a spectacular run chase at the DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai on Thursday.
The historic win sent social media into a tizzy, with fans and players congratulating the Indian women’s team and wishing the Harmanpreet Kaur-led side luck for the final, to be played on Sunday against South Africa in Navi Mumbai.
Virat Kohli
On Friday morning, Virat Kohli took to social media platform X to wish the Women in Blue. “What a victory by our team over a mighty opponent like Australia. A great chase by the girls and a standout performance by Jemimah in a big game. A true display of resilience, belief, and passion. Well done, Team India!” he wrote.
Rohit Sharma
Former India captain Rohit Sharma, who recently topped the ICC ODI rankings for batters, posted a screenshot on Instagram Stories of Rodrigues and Amanjot Kaur celebrating after hitting the winning runs, with the caption, “Well done Team India”.

Sachin Tendulkar
The legendary Sachin Tendulkar termed it a ‘fabulous victory’, and while he lauded Rodrigues and Harmanpreet, he also credited spinners Shree Charani and Deepti Sharma for their efforts with the ball.
Ravichandran Ashwin
Former India off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin hailed Rodrigues for her resilience and called the team an ‘inspiration’ in a separate post. Ahead of India’s mammoth chase of 339, Ashwin had hinted that the total was chaseable, given the conditions at the DY Patil Stadium, where defending totals can be very tough.
