Italy will look for a morale-boosting consolation win when it takes on Ireland in the third and final T20I at The Stevens Stadium in Dubai on Monday.
The Irish took an unassailable 2-0 lead after winning the first two games, by three wickets and 24 runs, respectively. Harry Tector shone with the bat for Ireland in both games, scoring a gritty 40-ball 41 in a tight run chase in the series opener, before hammering an unbeaten 96 off 56 deliveries in the second game to power his team to a match-winning 190 for five in 20 overs.
For Italy, opener Anthony Mosca stood out with scores of 35 and 69, while Wayne Madsen also struck an unbeaten 61 in the second match, though Italy fell short by 24 runs.
