IPL 2026 Auction: How many available slots are there for all 10 teams?
The IPL 2026 auction will be held in Abu Dhabi on December 16, with the 10 franchises set to fill up to 77 slots in a day-long exercise. Kolkata Knight Riders heads into the auction with the most vacancies after retaining only 12 players from its 2025 squad, leaving it with 13 slots, including six for overseas players.
Sunrisers Hyderabad follows with 10 available slots, two of which are for overseas recruits. Punjab Kings, meanwhile, has the least work to do in terms of squad building, with just four slots to fill.
