IPL 2026 Auction: 9 players including Manisankar Murasingh, Swastik Chikara added to Player List


The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Tuesday added nine names to the Player List for the Indian Premier League 2026 auction, which is set to be held on December 16.

The original list, released earlier on Tuesday, had 350 names, which was increased to 359 post the addition.

The players inserted in include Tripura all-rounder Manisankar Murasingh and former Royal Challengers Bengaluru player Swastik Chikara. The update also saw the inclusion of Malaysia player Virandeep Singh, the only player in this auction from an Associate nation.

The other six names are: Chama Milind of Hyderabad, K.L. Shrijith of Karnataka, Ethan Bosch of South Africa, Chris Green of Australia, Rahul Raj Namala of Uttarakhand and Virat Singh of Jharkhand.

A total of 1390 players registered for the auction, out of which 359 players were shortlisted. Franchises will compete for 77 available slots overall, including 31 spots reserved for overseas players. The highest reserve price remains Rs. 2 crore, with 40 players choosing to enter the auction in this bracket.
