2025 Inglis Sires Runner Preview:
1. Rivellino: I think if he stays on the back of Wodeton and stays inside, he drives late and goes close to winning. He has done little wrong in his four start career and is racing as if 1400m will be ideal.
2. Wodeton: Completely against him here. I was in the Slipper too and in another stride, he burns me. But, he was fence in, he bludged out the back and saved all the ground. Wide gate, 1400m is a query…can he give them a start and a beating? I say no.
3. Vinrock: Vinrock looks a really good colt for Matt Laurie and keen to see how he goes. He comes through the VRC Sires when leading throughout and he gave nothing else a look in, winning quite impressively from the front. Tick over trial here last week was very good and he is one of a few that brings different form, and looks very good.
4. Prestige Forever: He didn’t beat much in The Valley Pearl but the arrogance of the win was something else and he seemingly loved the rise to 1200m. Off that, I don’t see 1400m being an issue and shluld get the cart over via Bellazaine.
5. State Visit: State Visit looks a good prospect for Ciaron Maher. He ran three weeks ago in the Pago Pago and was a real eye catcher in defeat I thought from the back behind impressive winner Skyhook. He’s racing as if he’ll eat up 1400m and if he can settle closer, he’ll take beating.
6. Buffalo: Buffalo is giving off every indication of eating up 1400m. He has raced over 1200m his past two, the latest being a Newcastle maiden win where he looked a good thing on paper and duly saluted to win and win well. He has looked a Sires horse for some time so keen to see how he goes.
7. Nordic Viking: If I was in charge of this guy, I’d set my sights on the Champagne and potentially Brisbane with this guy. I think he has good talent…not sure he’s good enough to win but I do think $41+ for him is crazy value because he will eat up 1400m and has fresh legs.
8. Navy Pilot: Market really liked him on debut over 1000m but he just got too far back. Loved the way he closed off in defeat though and I reckon is one that could be similar to Nordic Viking. Run well here and focus on the Champagne/Brisbane.
9. Federalist: Bred to be a star and didn’t have much luck on debut behind Buffalo at Newcastle. I think he is one to watch.
10. Bellazaine: She did a bit of work to lead in the Slipper but she did find the A1 ground and was weak late. Not sure why she is here and not the Percy Sykes. Not good enough to win this.

2025 Inglis Sires Speed Map
Looks a pretty straight forward map here with Vinrock leading and Bellazaine lobbing outside and that pair should get front end control. Prestige Forever could get the drag across via Bellazaine and potentially land 1/1. Outside that, can’t see much early pressure.
