IND vs WI: India completes joint third-highest run chase in T20 World Cup history
India completed the joint third-highest run chase in the T20 World Cup history after beating West Indies by five wickets in their Super Eights fixture at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata on Sunday.
India’s 196-run chase is now equal with the USA’s against Canada in the opening match of the 2024 edition of the world event. This highest recorded chase is 230 by England against South Africa in 2016.
It is also the highest successful target chased at the Eden Gardens, Kolkata in the T20Is.
Sanju Samson led India’s chase with an unbeaten 97 off 50 balls.
