Harleen Deol gets ‘retired out’ during WPL 2026 match between UP Warriorz vs Delhi Capitals
World Cup-winning India international Harleen Deol was on Wednesday ‘retired hurt’ during a Women’s Premier League 2026 match between UP Warriorz and Delhi Capitals.
Harleen, a UPW player, became only the second player in WPL’s history to get ‘retired out’ after Gujarat Giants’ Ayushi Soni was brought off against Mumbai Indians on Tuesday.
The 27-year-old batter from Chandigarh was on 47 off 36 balls when head coach Abhishek Nayar seemed to ask her to come off ahead of the 18th over. Her replacement Chloe Tryon was soon sent back by N. Shree Charani as the South Africa all-rounder could score just the one run off three balls.
The Warriorz were restricted to 154 for eight as Marizanne Kapp and Shafali Verma took two wickets apiece.
