David Miller fit to join South Africa squad ahead of T20 World Cup
South African batter David Miller has been declared fit to join South Africa’s squad for the upcoming ICC T20 World Cup beginning next month.
Miller successfully passed a fitness test this week following an adductor muscle strain suffered while representing Paarl Royals in the recently concluded SA20. He has not been involved in its ongoing series with West Indies, and last represented the side in its five-match series in India.
He has represented South Africa 133 times in T20Is, scoring 2630 runs at an average of 32.87 and a strike rate of 140.56.

He will now join the squad when it departs for Mumbai from Johannesburg on Sunday.
His return to fitness comes as a boost for South Africa at a time when it has already been struggling with injuries. Donovan Ferreira and Tony de Zorzi have both been ruled out of the tournament already, with Tristan Stubbs and Ryan Rickelton named as their replacements.
