CSK vs PBKS, IPL 2026: Shreyas Iyer takes Punjab Kings to five-wicket win over Chennai Super Kings
Shreyas Iyer’s half century allowed Punjab Kings to scale the target of 210 runs and beat Chennai Super Kings by five wickets at the M.A. Chidambaram Stadium on Friday.
Ayush Mhatre’s blazing 73 off 43 deliveries combined with Shivam Dube’s 27-ball 45 at the death got Chennai Super Kings to a commanding total.
But the Kings were up to the task and overhauled the total with six deliveries to spare. Priyansh Arya set the tone with his 11-ball 39 at the top before Shreyas Iyer consolidated with 50 off 29 runs.
The visitors had a late hiccup with the fall of Iyer and Nehal Wadhera in the space of two deliveries. But Marcus Stoinis and Shashank Singh got Punjab Kings over the line.
