West Indies will eye a series sweep against Bangladesh when the two teams meet in the third and final T20I at the Bir Sreshtho Flight Lieutenant Matiur Rahman Stadium in Chattogram on Friday.
The Windies took an unassailable lead in the three-match series after clinching a 14-run win in the second T20I at the same venue. The visitors had won the series opener by 16 runs.
West Indies captain Shai Hope has been at the forefront of his team’s revival with match-winning knocks in both games. He struck an unbeaten 46 in the series opener before slamming 55 runs in the second game to help his side to a series win.
Akeal Hosein has led West Indies’ charge with the ball, picking five wickets in two matches, and has been supported by all-rounders Jason Holder and Romario Shepherd.
Meanwhile, Bangladesh’s batting has failed in both games so far in the T20I series as the host couldn’t chase down targets of 166 and 150. In the last match, opener Tanzid Hasan scored a 48-ball 61, but Bangladesh still fell short in the 150-run chase.
