Bajaj Group Backs Tamil Nadu Tennis

CHENNAI – The Bajaj Group has announced a major move to bolster India’s tennis ecosystem, securing the Platinum Sponsorship for the Chennai Open 2025.

In a significant joint announcement made Sunday, the conglomerate also unveiled a strategic partnership with the Tamil Nadu Tennis Association (TNTA) to champion “THE NEXT LEVEL,” a player development program dedicated to nurturing the nation’s next generation of tennis stars.

This partnership aims to amplify the program’s impact by providing critical financial and infrastructural support to promising young players. As an initial step, the Bajaj Group will support four young women players, with plans to develop a comprehensive pathway for young talent in the coming years.

Sanjiv Bajaj, Chairman & Managing Director of Bajaj Finserv, highlighted the group’s commitment. “Tennis is more than a sport for us,” he said. “Our sponsorship of Chennai Open 2025 brings the excitement of world-class tennis to passionate fans and deepens our connect with them. Together with TNTA, we are enabling budding talent to find the right mentorship and opportunity they need to ace the global stage.”

As part of “THE NEXT LEVEL” program, the Bajaj Group will support a significant number of the top 10 promising players, who will be handpicked by the TNTA. These athletes will receive intensive training, mentorship, and crucial exposure to competitive tennis.

Vijay Amritraj, President of the TNTA, welcomed the collaboration. “We are delighted to welcome Bajaj as a Platinum Sponsor for the Chennai Open 2025,” said Amritraj. “Further, TNTA’s partnership with Bajaj for ‘THE NEXT LEVEL’ initiative stems from our shared vision of fostering inclusivity and access to tennis. We are thrilled to see our young players receive the backing they deserve, and we look forward to seeing them evolve into tennis stars in the international circuit.”
