AUS U19 vs IND U19 1st Youth Test: Deepesh Devendran’s fifer skittles Australia out for 243
India Under 19’s Deepesh Devendran claimed a five-wicket haul to bowl out Australia U-19 for 243 in the opening day of the first Youth Test in Brisbane on Tuesday.
The medium pacer recorded figures of five for 45 as Australia lost its last five wickets for just 37 runs.
Devendran was supported by fellow pacer Kishan Kumar, who chipped in with three wickets, while spinners Anmoljeet Singh and Khilan Patel claimed a wicket apiece.
Steven Hogan top-scored for Australia with 92 before Devendran prised him out.
Skipper Ayush Mhatre will open alongside Vaibhav Suryavanshi to begin India’s response on Day two.
