Afghanistan to Officially Host 2025 U-19 Asia Cup, Matches to Be Played in UAE


The Asian Cricket Council has awarded hosting rights for the 2025 Men’s Under-19 Asia Cup to the Afghanistan Cricket Board, with the tournament set to be held in the UAE from December 12 to 21.

The eight-team competition will be split into two groups of four, with the top two from each group advancing to the semifinals and the winners progressing to the final. India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Afghanistan have already confirmed their participation.

India and Pakistan are set to meet on December 14.

Matches will be split between the ICC Academy Oval and the Sevens Stadium in Dubai. The final will be held at the ICC Academy Oval on December 21. 

In a statement on the ACB website, ACC president Mohsin Naqvi said, “The ACC is delighted to partner with the Afghanistan Cricket Board for the DP World Men’s U19 Asia Cup 2025. This tournament plays a vital role in shaping Asia’s next generation of cricketers, and we are confident that ACB will deliver an exceptional event that celebrates excellence, unity, and the future of Asian cricket.”
