Abishek Porel to lead Bengal in Ranji Trophy match against Tripura
With regular skipper Abhimanyu Easwaran away on India A duty for the second four-day match against South Africa A, wicketkeeper-batter Abishek Porel will lead Bengal in its Ranji Trophy fixture against Tripura in Agartala from November 1 to 4.
Bengal will also be without opener Sudip Chatterjee, sidelined by a knee injury.
With Akash Deep joining the India A squad, senior pacer Mohammed Shami will spearhead Bengal’s attack.
Bengal is joint-second in Group C after two matches, with 12 points from consecutive wins.
