Indians in County Cricket Day 2: Unadkat picks three, Suthar picks two
The second round of fixtures of the County Championship began on Friday, with three Indian players, Jaydev Unadkat, Manav Suthar, and Rahul Chahar featuring in this set of matches.
Unadkat has been the most impressive out of the three in the second round. The left-arm pacer up a wicket in the first innings and followed it up by striking thrice (3/37) on Day 2 for Sussex as his side trails Glamorgan by 238 runs heading into Day 3.
Suthar, meanwhile, continued his fine form from the first game and picked up two wickets (2/50) for Warwickshire on Day 1 and bowled just the one over on Day 2, giving away five runs. Suthar also had a good outing with the bat in the second innings, scoring 28 off 39 balls lower down the order to help his side take a lead of over 100 runs.
Chahar, in contrast, had a quiet first two days for his side, Surrey. In the first innings, Chahar managed to register figures of 1/58 and was brought on as a nightwatchman in the third innings as Surrey looks to overcome a deficit of 171 runs in the follow-on against Glamorgan.
