IND VS AFG, 3rd ODI: Jaiswal smashes second ODI ton

Opener Yashasvi Jaiswal brought up his second ODI century against Afghanistan in the third ODI at the MA Chidambaram stadium in Chennai on Saturday.

Chasing a target of 219, Jaiswal, along with his opening partner Rohit Sharma, stitched together a 100 run opening stand to destroy Afghanistan’s slim chances of securing a consolation victory.

While Rohit fell after scoring his half-century (79 off 69 balls), Jaiswal carried on and managed to stay at the crease till the end of the chase.

Jaiswal reached the three-figure landmark with a six over extra cover off Mohammed Nabi’s bowling in the 29th over, and finished things off a few deliveries later with another maximum to help India win by nine wickets and seal the series 3-0.

The 24-year-old now has ten international centuries to his name, including seven Test hundreds and one T20I century.
