IND vs AFG: Shubman Gill becomes fastest Indian to reach 3000 ODI runs
India captain Shubman Gill became the second-fastest player to reach 3000 runs in One-Day Internationals during the Men in Blue’s first ODI against Afghanistan on Saturday.
Gill took 62 innings to reach the four-digit mark, only behind South Africa legend Hashim Amla who had taken 57 innings.
Moreover, Gill broke the Indian record, going past Shikhar Dhawan, who had taken 72 innings to breach the mark.
The Indian opener broke the record en route a half-century in a 195-run chase against the visiting Afghanistan.
