Arshad Khan’s dramatic three-wicket penultimate over helped India A seal a thrilling eight-run win over Sri Lanka A in the first match of the Tri Nation A Series at the Rangiri Dambulla International Stadium in Dambulla on Tuesday.
Sri Lanka A needed 10 runs off the last two overs and lost the final three wickets in the same over. Arshad first removed Vijayakanth Viyaskanth via leg before and later had Mohamed Shiraz caught in the deep. In between, Wanuja Sahan, who was at the non-strikers’ end at 23 off 16, was run out.
