IPL 2026: Chennai Super Kings become third team to be eliminated after loss to Gujarat Titans
Five-time champion Chennai Super Kings became the third team to be eliminated from IPL 2026 after its 89-run defeat against Gujarat Titans at the Narendra Modi Stadium on Thursday.
The Super Kings finished its campaign with six wins and eight losses from 14 matches. This is now the third year in a row that CSK has failed to make it to the Playoffs.
Its a disappointing end to the season for CSK as the team, until two games ago, were in prime position to make it to the top four.
However, three consecutive loses in its last three games effectively brought down the curtains on what has been a challenging season for the Men in Yellow.
CSK joins Mumbai Indians and Lucknow Super Giants as the other teams that have already been eliminated from the competition.
