GT vs SRH, IPL 2026: Why is Gujarat Titans wearing a different jersey against Sunrisers Hyderabad?
Gujarat Titans will wear a one-off lavender jersey in its match against Sunrisers Hyderabad at the Narendra Modi stadium in Ahmedabad on Tuesday.
Sporting the jersey, a practice that started three years ago, is part of an initiative by GT to raise awareness about cancer treatment, show solidarity with survivors and fighters, and also spread knowledge about early detection and quality healthcare.
Interestingly, it was against SRH that GT first wore the lavender jersey, in the 2023 season, which the Titans won by 34 runs.
GT has a mixed record in the lavender jersey. The team won against SRH in 2023, the match against KKR ended in a no result, and GT lost against LSG in 2025.
