Lucknow Super Giants eliminated from IPL 2026 after losing to Chennai Super Kings
Lucknow Super Giants has been eliminated from IPL 2026 after suffering a five-wicket defeat to Chennai Super Kings at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai on May 10.
Rishabh Pant’s side posted a competitive 203 for eight thanks to Josh Inglis’ 33-ball 85, but it was blown out of the water by a stunning innings of 65 from 23 balls from Urvil Patel, who smashed the joint-fastest IPL half-century.
With this defeat, LSG has six points from 11 matches, and can only reach 12 points if it wins its remaining matches.
