Nottingham Forest have the chance to all but secure their place in the Premier League for next season when they host Newcastle this afternoon.
A win for Vitor Pereira’s men will take them nine points clear of third-bottom West Ham, who will have three games remaining including this afternoon’s clash with title-chasing Arsenal.
Forest also have a vastly superior goal difference.
The hosts have been in good form recently but were hammered 4-0 at Aston Villa on Thursday night in the second leg of their Europa League semi-final.
Newcastle come into the game on the back of a home win over Brighton that ended any fears of them being sucked into the relegation dogfight.
It has still been a disappointing season for the Magpies although reports suggest they will stick with boss Eddie Howe for next season.
