It was a memorable night for CSK’s tweakers who made good use of the conditions and executed their plans to perfection to take the sting out of KKR’s chase.
Earlier in the day, KKR captain Ajinkya Rahane won the toss and chose to bowl first. CSK lost Ruturaj Gaikwad early but Ayush Mhatre along with Sanju Samson put on a show as the home side raced to 72 within the PowerPlay.
KKR’s bowlers, however did well to pull things back to restrict CSK to 192. KKR tried to make the most of the PowerPlay by making Sunil Narine open with Finn Allen but the move did not pay off and both openers were sent packing by the fifth over.
