Fastest hundreds in T20Is: Finn Allen scores 33-ball century against South Africa


Finn Allen scored a 33-ball hundred for New Zealand against South Africa in Kolkata on Wednesday, making it the joint third-fastest ton in T20I cricket.

Across T20 World Cup matches, Allen’s century was the fastest ever, overtaking Chris Gayle’s 47-ball effort against England from the 2016 edition. It was also the fastest hundred scored against a Full-Member nation.

Estonia’s Sahil Chauhan holds the record for the fastest hundred in T20Is, after getting to the three-figure mark in 27 balls against Cyprus in 2024.
