Sahibzada Farhan becomes first player to score two hundreds in a T20 World Cup edition
Pakistan’s Sahibzada Farhan became the first batter to score two hundreds in a single edition of the men’s T20 World Cup, during a Super Eight match against Sri Lanka in Pallekele on Saturday.
Earlier, Farhan had scored a ton against Namibia during a group stage match in the T20 World Cup 2026.
The 29-year-old got to his hundred against Sri Lanka off the 59th delivery he had faced in the day with a single to long off against Dasun Shanaka.
Farhan’s century put Pakistan in control of the game, which will determine its future in the tournament.
Earlier in the day, he had become the highest scorer in a single edition of a T20 World Cup, breaking the record held by India’s Virat Kohli.
