Ranji Trophy 2025-26: Which player won the player of the tournament award?
The Ranji Trophy 2025-26 season came to a close with Jammu and Kashmir clinching its maiden title at the KSCA Stadium in Hubli on Saturday. The Paras Dogra-led team drew against Karnataka in the final to win the title via First Innings lead.
Auqib Nabi, who was instrumental in J&K’s title run, was awarded the Player of the Tournament award. The 29-year-old finished the season with 60 wickets.
He also became only the third pacer in the tournament’s 92-year history to claim 60 wickets in a single season.
The five-wicket haul against Karnataka in the final was his seventh of the campaign and the 15th of his Ranji career, capping a remarkable run in domestic cricket.
Nabi reached the milestone by dismissing Shikhar Shetty, having earlier trapped Mayank Agarwal in front after the Karnataka opener’s valiant 160 threatened to mount resistance.
