Yuvraj Samra becomes first player from Associate nation to score a T20 World Cup hundred, reaches three figures vs New Zealand
Canada opener Yuvraj Samra became the first player from an Associate nation to score a men’s T20 World Cup century, bringing up his hundred off just 58 balls against New Zealand at the M.A. Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai on Tuesday.
He is also the second centurion of this edition, after Sri Lanka’s Pathum Nissanka.
Earlier, Samra raced to his half-century off just 36 balls. At 19 years and 141 days, he became the youngest player to score a fifty in men’s T20 World Cup history.
