What is the highest team total in Ranji Trophy?
Karnataka posted a mamoth total of 736 in the semifinal of the ongoing Ranji Trophy season against Uttarakhand at the Ekana Stadium in Lucknow on Tuesday.
Powered by skipper Devdutt Padikkal’s 200, and centuries from KL Rahul and Smaran Ravichandran, Karnataka reached the total in the third day of the semifinal.
This is Karnataka’s third highest team total in the history of the tournament. The highest-ever team total record is held by Hyderabad, which scored 944 runs against Andhra in the 1993/94 season. Tamil Nadu sits second on the list with a score of 912 against Mysore in the 1045/46 season.
