RCB vs MI: Nat Sciver-Brunt scores first century in WPL history
Nat Sciver-Brunt ended the long wait for a first WPL centurion, scoring a hundred for the Mumbai Indians against Royal Challengers Bengaluru at the Kotambi Stadium in Vadodara on Monday.
The English all-rounder scored a 57-ball ton for MI in a crucial match in the race to the Playoffs. Australian batter Georgia Voll and New Zealand all-rounder Sophie Devine held the previous record for the highest score in WPL history, both falling short of the landmark by one run.
RCB skipper Smriti Mandhana too came close to eclipsing the mark earlier this season, eventually holing out on 96 against the Delhi Capitals.
