IND vs NZ, 3rd T20I: Abhishek Sharma hits fifty in 14 balls, second-fastest by an Indian

India opening batter Abhishek Sharma notched up a half-century in 14 balls during the third T20I against New Zealand in Guwahati on Sunday.

This was the second-fastest fifty by an Indian batter in T20Is. He betters Hardik Pandya’s feat, who had struck 50 runs off just 16 balls against South Africa in Ahmedabad in 2025.

Yuvraj Singh holds the record for the fastest, with his 12-ball fifty against England in the T20 World Cup in 2007, which included the six sixes in an over off Stuart Broad.
