Ashes 2025, 3rd Test: England makes one change as Tongue replaces Atkinson
England on Monday has announced its playing eleven for the third Ashes Test against Australia with seamer Josh Tongue replacing Gus Atkinson.
The third Test will be played at Adelaide, starting December 17 with the visitor needing a win to stay alive in the series.
England trails 0-2 in the five-match series.
Atkinson has endured a poor run with the ball claiming just three wickets across two Tests at an average of 78.66.
The 28-year-old Tongue comes into the Test on the back of a wicketless display in the day-night tour game against Australia’s PM XI.
