Action commences in men’s qualifying round at M15 Gwalior
Tanush Ghildayal and Aashray Mehra advanced to the second round of the qualifying round, while Deep Munim of Madhya Pradesh also won.
Qualifying matches were played for the $15,000 International Men’s Tournament, sponsored by Round Glass and held under the auspices of the Gwalior Chambal Tennis Association and the Department of Sports and Youth Welfare.
The first round of qualifying matches was played today. In addition to Indian players, several foreign players also participated in the first round of qualifying. Deep Munim of Madhya Pradesh, who received a wild card entry, advanced to the second qualifying round. While Deep Munim had won the first set 6-2, his opponent had to retire due to injury. Tournament Director Vikas Pandey provided further details, stating that sixteen knockout matches were played in the qualifying round.

Aryan Laxman defeated Aditya Mor 7-5, 7-5. Ashravya Mehra defeated Sahaj Singh Pawar 6-3, 7-5. Adrian Arcon of Australia defeated Kiruthik Kalyan Annur 6-4, 6-3, Freek van Donselaar defeated Prashant Sawant 6-0, 6-0. Tanush Ghildayal defeated Ying Hu 6-3, 7-5. An unfinished match between Tarun Kara and Aryan Chauhan will be played tomorrow due to poor light.
