WPL Auction 2026: Chinelle Henry goes to Delhi Capitals for Rs. 1.30 crore
West Indies big-hitter Chinelle Henry went to Delhi Capitals for Rs. 1.30 crore during the WPL 2026 Auction on Thursday in New Delhi.
RCB and DC set the pace early as the price jumped from Rs. 30 lakh to Rs. 60 lakh in quick time. RCB later held the bid at Rs. 1.2 crore, but just as the hammer was about to fall, DC swooped in at Rs. 1.3 crore. After a brief deliberation, UP Warriorz chose not to exercise its RTM.
Henry was released by UP Warriorz ahead of the mega auction.
Henry made her debut in the WPL last season after she was brought in as an injury replacement for Alyssa Healy.
In seven matches, she smacked 163 runs and took six wickets. While she notched up just one half-century during the 2025 season, she went about her batting with a staggering strike rate of 196.39.
