Odisha FC and Sergio Lobera part ways after mutual agreement
Odisha FC and head coach Sergio Lobera parted ways on Wednesday, the Indian Super League (ISL) club announced on social media.
The Spaniard joined the Bhubaneswar-based side in May 2023 and led it to the 2024 Super Cup final, where it lost to East Bengal.
Under Lobera, Odisha FC finished fourth in the 2023-24 ISL and exited in the semifinals of the play-offs, before slipping to seventh last season.
The club said it is “waiting for clarity on the league” before announcing a new head coach.
Odisha FC is among the three ISL clubs that have temporarily suspended operations due to uncertainty over the start of the top-flight league.
