T20 World Cup 2026 groups: India set to face Pakistan; South Africa grouped with New Zealand
The full schedule for the 2026 Men’s T20 World Cup was announced on Tuesday, with India and Sri Lanka set to co-host the tournament.
India and Sri Lanka share hosting duties, and as part of a mutual arrangement between the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), Pakistan will play all its matches in Sri Lanka. Should Pakistan reach the final, that match will also be held in Sri Lanka instead of India.
Five stadiums in India and three in Sri Lanka were also announced as the venues for the tournament.
A total of 40 group matches will be played between February 7-20, with the top two sides from each group then progressing to the Super Eights phase of the tournament that commences on February 21.

- Group A: India, Pakistan, USA, Netherlands, Namibia
- Group B: Australia, Sri Lanka, Ireland, Zimbabwe, Oman
- Group C: England, West Indies, Bangladesh, Nepal, Italy
- Group D: New Zealand, South Africa, Afghanistan, Canada, UAE
