Sheffield Shield 2025-26 Schedule and Key Fixtures
Australia’s premier domestic competition, the Sheffield Shield, returns for its 124th edition on Saturday, October 4, 2025, marking the start of the men’s First-Class season. Six State teams will compete in a home-and-away format, with the final scheduled from March 26–30, 2026.
The season features 31 matches across 10 venues nationwide, including iconic grounds such as the MCG, SCG, Adelaide Oval, WACA Ground and the Gabba. South Australia enters the season as defending champion, having won its 14th title in 2024-25.
Every match will be live-streamed on Kayo Sports, cricket.com.au and the CA Live app, while one match in each of the first four rounds and the final will be broadcast live on Fox Cricket.
