IND-W vs AUS-W: All milestones and records broken during India Women vs Australia Women 1st ODI
Australia Women brushed aside India’s 281 for seven to win the ODI series opener in Mullanpur by eight wickets with 35 balls to spare, their eighth straight ODI victory over India.
Phoebe Litchfield (88) led the chase despite early chances, while Beth Mooney (77*) and Annabel Sutherland (54*) sealed it after Ellyse Perry retired hurt.
Earlier, Smriti Mandhana (58) and Pratika Rawal (64) added 114 for their fifth 100-run opening stand before both fell in quick succession. Harleen Deol (54) chipped in, but India’s middle order couldn’t push past 300 — a total Australia overhauled with ease.
All records broken, milestones achieved during India vs Australia 1st WODI
- 150 – Harmanpreet Kaur featured in her 150th WODI, becoming the third India to do so after Mithali Raj (232) and Jhulan Goswami (204).
- 100-run stand – Smriti and Pratika stitched their fifth century-run stand, the most for the first wicket for India Women in ODIs.
- 114 – Smriti-Pratika’s 114-run opening stand is the highest first-wicket partnership against Australia in WODIs
- Fifties by Top 3 – Smriti, Pratika and Harleen also scored half-centuries, making this the sixth time India’s top-3 have scored a 50+ score.
- 282 – Australia’s successful chase was the fourth-highest by any team in women’s ODIs.
