IND-w vs AUS-W, 2nd ODI: Smriti Mandhana registers second-fastest hundred by an Indian
Smriti Mandhana on Wednesday hit a hundred in 77 balls during the second ODI against Australia in New Chandigarh, to record the second-fastest hundred by an Indian woman.
The southpaw holds the record for the fastest century by an Indian batter too, which she got against Ireland in 70 deliveries. Harmanpreet Kaur has the third-fastest century now (82 balls).
Mandhana’s ton is also the fastest against Australia, with the previous best belonging to Nat Sciver (79 balls).
She was eventually dismissed for 117 off 91 balls, holing out to deep midwicket off Tahlia McGrath.
