India registers its highest total against Australia in women’s ODIs
India registered its highest total against Australia in women’s ODIs during the second game of the three-match series, taking place at the new PCA stadium in Mullanpur on Wednesday.
The Women in Blue posted 292 in 50 overs, which is also the second-highest total ever scored against the Aussies. England holds the record of having scored 298 in 2022.
India vice-captain Smriti Mandhana scored her 12th ODI century and Deepti Sharma, Richa Ghosh, and Sneh Rana contributed to help the host post the record-breaking target.
Before this, India’s highest total against the Aussies was 282 which it notched up on December 28, 2023. India went on to lose the match.
