Yuki Bhambri Reaches Maiden Roland-Garros Round 3 in Doubles

Indian tennis star Yuki Bhambri and American partner Robert Galloway upset 7th seeds to continue their dream run at Roland-Garros 2025

Yuki Bhambri and Robert Galloway are making waves at Roland-Garros 2025, stringing together two impressive wins to book a spot in the third round of the men’s doubles draw.

Their campaign began with a gritty three-set victory over the big-serving duo of Robin Haase and Hendrik Jebens in the opening round. Bhambri and Galloway held their nerve after letting a match point slip in the second set and saving three set points before narrowly losing the tiebreak. But they bounced back strongly in the third to seal a 6-3, 6-7(8), 6-3 win.

Their reward? A tough second-round showdown against the 7th-seeded Grand Slam champions Nikola Mektić and Michael Venus. Once again, Bhambri and Galloway proved their mettle — coming back from a set down and 1-3 behind in the second-set tiebreak — to clinch a memorable upset: 6-7(4), 7-6(4), 6-3.

The match carried personal significance for Bhambri, who made both his Grand Slam and Masters 1000 doubles debuts alongside Venus — a close friend. This third-round berth is Bhambri’s first at Roland-Garros and his third at the Slam level overall.

Next up, they face the in-form American 9th seeds, King and Harrison, with a quarterfinal spot on the line.
